Job Title: Cafe Attendant

We are seeking a skilled Cafe Attendant to join our team at Big Cedar Lodge. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and portion ingredients for breakfast dishes
  • Operate small kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Prepare all food from the breakfast menu using standard recipes
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Identify product needs and requisition items as necessary
  • Notify Lead Cook of expected shortages
  • Maintain security and safety in the work area
  • Adhere to local health and safety regulations
Requirements:
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions and extreme heat. The noise level is usually loud.
