Job Summary

Bishop Gadsden is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for completing skilled maintenance functions in our building and physical plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general plumbing tasks, including changing out faucets, mixing valves, and clearing drains.
  • Complete general electrical tasks, such as lock out/tag out, bulb replacement, and fixture change out.
  • Change bulbs, HVAC filters, and batteries.
  • Hang pictures, blinds, and hardware.
  • Perform carpentry-related duties, including construction, demolition, and repair.
  • Troubleshoot or replace electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot, install, reset, or repair appliances and equipment.
  • Perform all equipment preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and regulate boiler, 4-pipe, and domestic water supply systems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • General experience in building maintenance required.
  • Valid SC divers' license required.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry weights of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary for exchanging information and maintaining a courteous relationship with residents, families, visitors, and Bishop Gadsden employees.
