The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will play a crucial role in our team, working closely with the Medical Director and physicians to provide high-quality care to patients suffering from behavioral problems and mental health disorders. This position requires a caring individual dedicated to providing exceptional care to residents in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic care and treatment to patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans using medicinal and therapeutic interventions
- Participate in on-call rotation for patient evaluation and care
- Attend Treatment Team meetings and collaborate with the team to educate patients and families about mental illness
- Participate in Quality and Process Improvement meetings
- Current, unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license valid to practice in the state of South Carolina
- South Carolina Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- Prescriptive authority from the state of South Carolina
- Federal DEA license/Certification
- Minimum 500 supervised clinical hours within the PMHNP program
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language fluently
- Able to react to emergency situations appropriately
- Skilled communicator and able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively
