Job Summary

Bowhead is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead our team in supporting the Program Management and Operations Division. As a key member of our organization, you will provide strategic leadership and direction to Site Leads and support personnel in managing all operational aspects, including program execution, growth, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to Site Leads and support personnel in managing all operational aspects of the program.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of technical professionals, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding personnel, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to ensure technical efforts proceed within budget and schedule.
  • Contract Management: Provide contract management and planning, directing, and monitoring program budgets, schedules, and performance standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as the primary customer contact for program information and provide regular updates and status reports.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue business opportunities within the current customer base and for new customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Five (5) years of program management experience, with a thorough understanding of Navy Computer Program support facilities missions, engineering, and operations.
  • Leadership: Five (5) years of leadership experience, with responsibility for managing similar IT programs within Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Federal Acquisition Certification Program/Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) Senior Level certification in Program Management or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and work with minimal direction.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Standing: Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Bending: Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
Security Clearance

Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
