Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview:
- Conduct thorough investigations, assessments, and responses to cyber incidents within a network environment.
- Leverage data from diverse cyber defense mechanisms (such as IDS alerts, firewalls, and network traffic logs) to scrutinize events occurring within the environment to effectively mitigate potential threats.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to furnish vital information to the designated leadership.
- Employ a range of security tools to gather and analyze pertinent data.
- Monitor and report on critical data as directed by leadership.
- Formulate methodologies and procedures for executing cybersecurity risk evaluations and compliance audits, including the assessment and testing of hardware, firmware, and software for potential impacts on system security, as well as the investigation and resolution of security incidents such as intrusions, fraud, attacks, or data leaks.
- Proficient in creating alerts based on event ingestion into Splunk SIEM.
- Familiarity with RHEL OS to ensure systems are patched and maintain a low vulnerability score.
Qualifications for Success:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with technologies including HBSS/ESS, ACAS, and SIEM (Splunk).
Security Clearance:
SECRET (upgradable to TS/SCI).
Essential Skills:
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment:
On-site position (no remote work available).
