Job Summary

As a key member of the REI Engineers team, the Branch Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our branch office. This includes managing all aspects of branch operations, sales, and client relations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and management, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Branch Operations Management
  • Direct and oversee all branch operations, including administration, customer service, project management, and sales.
  • Manage the branch budget and ensure financial performance meets company expectations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff to ensure service expectations, policies, education, and procedures are met.
  • Perform performance appraisals, discipline, and terminations as necessary.
Business Development and Sales
  • Review local market trends and identify potential customers.
  • Initiate contact with potential customers and maintain relationships with current customers.
  • Negotiate scope of work and fee to convert sales opportunities into engineering contracts.
  • Service existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate activities to resolve potential problems.
Project Management and Staff Supervision
  • Assign projects to and provide direction and mentoring for project managers and engineering staff.
  • Direct assessments, investigations, construction management, and design projects.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a construction-related field, or a formal technical program with industry experience. A minimum of 10 years' experience in a consulting and/or engineering firm is required, with a minimum of 2 years of sales and business development experience preferred.

  1. Leadership and Management Skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to effectively uncover and resolve complex customer and employee issues.
Industry Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of materials and installation processes used in roofing, wall, and other envelope assemblies.
  • Knowledge of building codes and engineering calculations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
