Position Summary:
The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) is responsible for responding to both urgent and non-urgent medical requests. The AEMT delivers high-quality patient care, ensuring treatment and customer service are provided in a timely, professional, and safe manner, all while adhering to established protocols and company policies.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine necessary care and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, conditions, and treatments while ensuring confidentiality and upholding patient rights.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patient care.
  • Utilize Advanced EMT skills effectively, including communication, medical equipment operation, and cleaning procedures.
  • Operate an ambulance in compliance with company safety policies and traffic regulations pertaining to emergency medical response vehicles.
  • Collaborate professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow team members.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Engage in community programs to enhance AMR's image and foster strong community relations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • National or State Advanced EMT certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS certifications.
  • Driving record that complies with company policy.
  • Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test.
Working Conditions and Requirements:
Working Conditions: Availability to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. May involve long periods inside an ambulance and exposure to varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands: This role requires moderate to extensive sitting, standing, and walking, with some repetitive motion activities. Candidates should be capable of lifting over 200 lbs. with assistance and performing tasks such as pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs.

Mental Requirements: Strong critical thinking skills are essential, along with the ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches to problems. The role may involve exposure to high-pressure situations.
