Job Title: Advanced EMT

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Advanced EMTs to join our team at AMR Corp.

Job Summary:

As an Advanced EMT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings. You will work collaboratively with our team to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, utilizing your skills and expertise to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessments of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow co-workers.
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Driver's License
  • National or State Advanced EMT certification
  • CPR/BLS certifications
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass a Physical Agility Test
Working Conditions and Mental/Physical Requirements:

Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.

Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking. Some repetitive motion activities. Routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and stair climbing. Visual identification of color-coded items. Clear speech and hearing. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.

Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Fatigue, high pressure, exposure to stressful situations.
