We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and oversee nursing activities, including comprehensive physical assessments, health screenings, and treatments.
- Ensure appropriate nursing staff coverage during assigned shifts, making adjustments as needed to meet the needs of individuals served.
- Respond to emergency situations, providing assessment and ensuring safety and care of individuals and staff.
- Provide treatment to HHS employees injured in the course and scope of employment.
- Develop and present information for inservice training or staff development, as assigned.
- Communicate with other disciplines, including direct care staff, physicians, and administration, to ensure optimal care.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- Knowledge of nursing techniques, standards, and procedures, as well as health care laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and productively with all levels of staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Ability to interpret regulations and communicate them effectively, both orally and in writing.
