Job Title: Adolescent Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Poplar Springs Hospital. As an Adolescent Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our adolescent patients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing emotional support to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to adolescent patients, including administering medications and performing vital signs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Assist with supervision of Mental Health Workers and students on the unit and shift of assignment.
Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • American Heart Association CPR certification.
  • Handle With Care certification.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Experience working with adolescent patients preferred.
