Position: Fire Alarm and Security Systems Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Specialist. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems while also providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular testing and inspections of fire alarm systems according to established schedules.
- Identify and address compliance issues related to safety codes.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally and report any necessary repairs.
- Document inspection results and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair both fire and security alarm systems.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting equipment and climbing ladders.
- Maintain a professional appearance and keep your work vehicle organized.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Rhode Island fire technician license (BF) or be in the process of obtaining one.
- In-depth knowledge of Rhode Island's Fire Alarm Code and the National Electrical Code.
- A minimum of two years of experience in fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with testing equipment, including multi-meters and digital analyzers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- A willingness to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
