Responsibilities of the Community Manager
  • Lead and manage the property team in daily community operations, fostering an engaging and motivating atmosphere.
  • Establish maintenance and team schedules, ensuring accountability for performance and team engagement.
  • Coach and develop team members to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.
  • Oversee budget management, accounts, rent collections, and tenant communications, utilizing software for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review applications and conduct background and credit checks, ensuring compliance with all procedures.
  • Handle administrative tasks including file audits for compliance and tax filing.
  • Report escalated issues to the Asset Director and prepare client reports for review.
  • Communicate variances and concerns effectively, adopting a solution-oriented approach to meet goals.
  • Enforce company policies regarding lease documentation and resident recertification.
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and applicants.
  • Address and resolve resident inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance curb appeal.
  • Investigate complaints and mediate conflicts as necessary.
  • Implement safety measures and respond to emergencies, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Uphold ethical standards in all work-related activities.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bring high energy and a positive attitude to foster a vibrant atmosphere.
  • Utilize financial acumen to manage property budgets and collections.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor that supports strong leadership.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills from relevant experience in property management or hospitality.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years in multi-family leasing management with extensive leasing experience.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional time management.
  • Demonstrate effective scheduling and prioritization skills for vendor and contractor coordination.
  • Provide professional support to property team members in daily operations.
  • Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and property management software.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
  • Background checks, credit checks, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification are mandatory.
