Purpose of the Ministry:

To embody the principles of loving God and loving others by adhering to the core values of Stonebriar Community Church (SCC), fostering a deep connection with God, and guiding others in their spiritual growth. This role is dedicated to providing graphic design support for the Communications Team, collaborating to produce visually appealing materials that effectively achieve objectives while upholding the branding and standards of excellence set by Stonebriar.

Qualifications for Graphic Design:

  • Design and create both digital and print communication materials, ensuring alignment with Stonebriar's branding and style guidelines, as well as directives from the Director of Creative Ministry.
  • Deliver high-quality design work promptly to fulfill ministry requirements.
  • Work closely with the Communications Coordinator to ensure timely completion and delivery of projects.
  • Availability on Sundays and for special events as needed throughout the week.
  • Stay informed about emerging graphic design trends, software, and printing techniques.
  • Assist with Communications activities, such as photography, as directed.
  • Be reachable via cell phone outside of regular office hours (a stipend will be provided).

Key Competencies:

  • Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with the public.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a focus on Graphic Design or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in graphic design.
  • A portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, logo creation, and campaign design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with Mac OS X.
  • A willingness to learn and the ability to accept constructive feedback positively.
  • Creativity, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of printing techniques and terminology.
  • Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
  • Skills in fine arts and/or photography are advantageous.
  • Membership and active participation in Stonebriar Community Church is preferred.

Responsibilities within the Ministry:

  • Coordinate and communicate with the supervisor regarding on-site or remote responsibilities.
  • Provide basic information about the Church's faith, offer religious resources, or pray with individuals upon request.

  • Maintain a personal relationship and ongoing intimacy with Jesus Christ.
  • Exhibit a servant's heart characterized by integrity and honesty.
  • Possess a teachable and open mindset.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, treating them with respect and grace, and providing prayerful support as a team player.
