Option Care Health is seeking a highly skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of medications for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as state regulations and standards.
- Prepare medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages of medications.
- Accurately label and package medications for distribution.
- Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
- Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
- Inspect equipment and document any equipment failures or defects.
- Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Able to perform basic and intermediate-level mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
