Job Summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy department and ensuring the smooth operation of our medication distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support medication distribution systems, including automated dispensing cabinets, unit dose systems, code carts, trays, and kits.
  • Prepare, fill, receive, deliver, stock, and restock medication inventory and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage areas.
  • Assist with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues, and completing medication histories.
  • Prepare non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous preparations.
  • Perform prescription data entry in the pharmacy system when applicable.
  • Process medication charges/credits when applicable.
  • Responsible for orienting and training new pharmacy technicians or students.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations.
