Position Overview:
FarrWest Specialty Vehicles (FSV) serves as a premier installer and outfitter for emergency response vehicles such as police cars and fire trucks. We are currently seeking skilled installation technicians with experience in 12-volt automotive, RV, or marine electrical systems to join our team. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining specialized equipment, including LED warning lights, communication systems, and secure transport enclosures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to production schedules and prioritize tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Utilize various pneumatic and power tools safely and effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring issues using wiring diagrams.
- Carefully remove and reinstall OEM vehicle interior components without causing damage.
- Disassemble and reassemble a wide range of vehicle types, including sedans, SUVs, and trucks.
- Install aftermarket vehicle parts such as bumpers and lift kits.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with automotive, marine, or RV 12-volt electrical systems.
- Possession of personal tools necessary for installation tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic setting.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of working in a shop environment for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
Additional Skills:
- Fabrication skills, including metal bending and welding, are advantageous.
- Experience in window tinting or vehicle wrap installation is a plus.
