We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee and manage production shift employees, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct daily meetings with team leaders and participate in value stream daily meetings.
- Confirm routine quality checks and audit for adherence to team member standard work.
- Help cover team leader absences and perform leader standard work tasks.
- Assist with monthly production planning and oversee manpower/vacation scheduling.
- Lead process trials and maintain and improve team morale.
- Oversee team member development and cross-training, and manage cost reduction activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance department for maintenance activities and assure necessary support from outside groups is available.
- Coordinate linkages to upstream and downstream processes.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Minimum 2-3 years previous experience leading teams required.
- Must be able to traverse the production facility.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
