About the Job

At Chevron, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Assistant Station Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our retail station.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environment, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and managing cash handling responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Station Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the retail facility, including customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision.

  • Maintain oversight of station operations and staff in the Station Manager's absence, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Provide work direction, motivation, and coaching to staff during shifts to ensure assigned tasks are completed in accordance with company guidelines and expectations.

  • Support and adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality guidelines, as well as all other company policies, procedures, practices, and programs.

  • Respond to accidents or incidents in a professional and timely manner, including escalating to the Station Manager or Business Consultant as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Sufficient proficiency in English to understand company policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to effectively communicate with customers and/or coworkers on work-related matters.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment, including cash handling and customer service experience.

  • Demonstrated experience operating a cash register, computer console, and other related equipment, tools, and computer software programs and applications.

  • Able to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays, based on business needs.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally, exercising good judgment.

  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings.

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

  • High School graduate or equivalent and a minimum 21 years of age.
