The Patient Access Trainer is essential in facilitating the education and development of the Patient Access Department at Shore Medical Center. In this role, you will be tasked with the creation of precise and comprehensive training resources, managing educational materials, and ensuring that all personnel and support teams are proficient in various systems and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop thorough training documentation for onboarding new employees
  • Oversee and update educational resources for existing staff and support teams
  • Establish and maintain competency standards for the department
  • Deliver training on systems including Cerner, AS400, and Passport
  • Collaborate with department Preceptors to coordinate training initiatives
  • Design training timelines tailored to the skill levels of new hires
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies and protocols
  • Support system testing and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with registration and scheduling functions as necessary
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in Admissions, Patient Scheduling, and related Access functions
  • Competence in PC technology and standard software applications
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology
