About the Role

At iNTERMOUNTAIN ELECTRONICS INC, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter Technician to join our team. As a key member of our paint department, you will be responsible for providing labor assistance in daily operations, with opportunities to train and become an industrial painter.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the ability to prepare equipment for painting by cleaning, washing, applying caulk, taping, masking, wiping, vacuuming, hanging, etc. They will also lift and hang pieces on a rack to be cleaned and painted, operate a pressure washer, and use various sizes and makes of forklifts and an overhead crane.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritization and Organization: Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Prepare and clean surfaces, re-tap holes, paint to OEM condition, disassemble, clean, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Quality Control: Check for quality during the course of a job to ensure coating is applied according to specifications and reduce re-work.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs to develop skills in industrial painting, including learning and maintaining paint equipment, removing paint and finishes, preparing surfaces for application, and mixing and matching paints.
Requirements
  • Education: High School or GED preferred; completion of at least 10th grade education required, plus up to one-month related experience or training.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid driver's license, OSHA forklift and overhead crane certification, and ability to pass a Pulmonary Functions Test to wear a respirator.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, speak effectively before groups, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, solve practical problems, and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
