Key Responsibilities- Animal Care and Husbandry: Assist in the daily care of laboratory animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning of enclosures.
- Environmental Monitoring: Monitor and record environmental data, including temperature, humidity, and photoperiods, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the animals.
- Assistance with Animal Handling and Restraint: Assist clinical staff with animal handling and restraint, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the staff.
- Cage Sanitation and Maintenance: Clean and maintain animal enclosures, including autoclaving and disinfecting equipment.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document animal care and husbandry activities, including environmental data and animal health observations.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of experience preferred.
- License/Certification: Assistant Laboratory Animal Tech (ALAT) certification preferred.
