Charge Nurse II-Acute Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Nurse II-Acute to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate patient care and serving as a leader and resource for other members of the patient care team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise in acute care nursing and mentor staff in developing and implementing patient teaching plans.
- Assist in effective management of human and material resources, including staffing and budgeting.
- Participate in performance appraisals and evaluate staff using reliable and objective criteria.
- Respond to and direct emergencies, serving as a leader and resource person during crisis situations.
- Establish a compassionate environment by supporting staff and enabling them to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) and specialized knowledge in a field related to nursing.
- 1-3 years of experience in acute care nursing, with a focus on leadership and management.
- BLS certification and Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- ACLS certification for application to telemetry.
