Medical Front Desk Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to handle various administrative and compliance-related tasks in a medical office setting. This role is responsible for handling patient scheduling, insurance verification, charge entry, and front desk operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day office functions while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer phone calls, and provide excellent customer service.
- Register patients by accurately collecting and updating demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and handle charge entry.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently while coordinating with providers.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
- Assist with clerical tasks, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and provide financial information to patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and office operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical administration is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems, medical billing software, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance verification, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and patient records.
