About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Specialist to join our team at CAE USA, Defense & Security. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and integrate real-time weapon simulations for military training devices. This is a hands-on, full life cycle software engineering position that requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
Develop scalable, high-fidelity software for real-time simulation and training applications
Design, develop, code, integrate, and test simulation software to meet requirements
Perform integration and configuration of weapon simulations
Fly real military flight simulators to conduct testing and evaluation of delivered software
Troubleshoot and maintain existing simulation models
Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and schedule commitments
Participate in code reviews as author and reviewer
Communicate progress or needs along with solutions/recommendations to senior engineers

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience required
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance
Programming experience in C++ / Fortran / Ada
Experience with object-oriented programming concepts, techniques, and patterns
Experience with various debugging approaches and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel as needed (Domestic and International)

Salary Estimate
$100,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
