Medical Placement Specialist

This Medical Placement Specialist position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient transfers and admissions. As a liaison between external physicians, nursing teams, and other patient intake areas, you will expedite timely placement of patients while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for outside referring facility customers, coordinating patient transfers and admissions.
- Utilize clinical nursing skills and knowledge to identify optimal patient placement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, assessments, and cognitive interventions to ensure effective patient care.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate patient placement, demonstrating expertise in communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Prioritize patient information, communicate clinical presentations, and identify health needs based on assessment and guideline parameters.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) required within 5 years of hire date; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a med/surg, critical care, or ED bedside RN; 5+ years of experience preferred.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
$41.26 - $54.52 Hourly
Physical DemandsThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and programs.
