We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at HIGHPOWER Validation Testing & Lab Services. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the highest level of quality in our testing and validation services.
Key Responsibilities- Interface with Study Directors and Laboratory Manager: Collaborate with senior team members to ensure accurate and technically competent work, and optimize laboratory resources.
- Complete Daily Paperwork: Accurately and timely complete paperwork for studies in progress, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Laboratory Notebook: Record and document all procedures, experiments, and results in a laboratory notebook or data forms, as required.
- Operate and Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Use and assist in the maintenance of autoclaves, low temperature sterilizers, washers, data analyzing equipment, data loggers, and other laboratory equipment, including daily cleaning, data charting, monthly calibrations, and validations.
- Prepare Laboratory Media: Prepare liquid and agar media for studies, including completion of paperwork, growth promotion testing, and pH measurement.
- Conduct Bioburden and Environmental Testing: Conduct weekly/monthly bioburden/environmental testing of laboratory areas, as required.
- Assist with Laboratory Supply Management: Assist in the requisitioning of laboratory supply orders, receiving supplies, and maintaining inventory records.
- Attend Training and Meetings: Attend internal and ISO 17025 training/departmental meetings to review Standard Operating Procedures and proper laboratory procedures.
- Ensure Data Accuracy and Integrity: Review and ensure that all paperwork produced is accurate and technically correct to the best of your ability.
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree in the Biological Sciences or equivalent work experience is desired.
- Communication and Teamwork Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of ISO 17025, 13485, 9001, or FDA/GMP Quality systems a plus.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail.
