Intake Coordinator

The Intake Coordinator is a key member of our admissions team, responsible for creating a positive first impression for our clients and their families. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct pre-admission assessments to ensure clients meet our admission criteria
- Interview clients, family members, and collateral sources to gather information and make informed decisions
- Coordinate with insurance companies to verify eligibility and complete pre-certification as needed
- Facilitate assessment and/or intake to our facility services when appropriate
- Provide administrative support to the department of admissions, ensuring the quality of service to clients and their families
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred
- One or more years' experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in mental health or substance abuse field
- Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills, with ability to work in a team environment
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required
