Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our Service Provider Systems group, you will play a critical role in supporting the application lifecycle and developing new software modules. You will have the opportunity to lead the design of certain software components, suggest new products and applications, and work with a diverse team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, release, and support.
  • Collaborate with technical and business leaders to acquire and understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop, maintain, test, analyze performance, troubleshoot, and fix applications and applicable code.
  • Support mission-critical applications and assist in resolving customer issues.
  • Design backend database schemas and produce deliverables with clean, well-documented, and easily maintainable code.
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify defects and leverage CI/CD for building and deploying code.
  • Triage production issues and work with multiple teams to perform problem analysis.
  • Assign and review tasks from junior and offshore software engineers.
  • Participate in conducting new hire interviews and influence the discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required.
  • Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent years of software development experience.
  • 5-7 years' experience in appropriate programming languages, including Java.
  • Full stack development experience in technologies such as React, Angular, jQuery, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Spring framework, Spring-MVC, myBatis, and RESTful APIs.
  • Some background in DevOps Tools and automation.
  • Knowledge of technical project management, design frameworks, and patterns.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices.
  • Experience in relational database design and the Agile software development methodology.
  • Ability to research emerging software development frameworks and tools, estimate and medium to large-sized projects, and troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
