About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting our business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using a range of technologies, including Java, Spring framework, and React.
  • Collaborate with technical and business leaders to acquire and understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications and code, ensuring high-quality and maintainable software.
  • Support mission-critical applications and assist in resolving customer issues.
  • Design and implement database schemas and develop unit and UI tests to identify defects.
  • Participate in conducting new hire interviews and influence the discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of software development experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in full-stack development, with expertise in technologies such as React, Angular, jQuery, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Spring framework.
  • Knowledge of technical project management, design frameworks, and patterns, as well as industry-wide technology strategies and best practices.
  • Experience in relational database design, Agile software development methodology, and DevOps tools and automation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to estimate and manage medium to large-sized projects.
