Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Day Surgery team at HCA Florida JFK North Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth recovery process for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during and post-operative recovery, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of surgical patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital Surgical Services, PACU or ICU experience

We have a 124-bed behavioral health unit and offer a range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department, Advanced Primary Certified Stroke Center, Orthopedic Institute, Critical Care Unit, and Interventional Vascular Suite.
