Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our Mother Baby Unit team at Texas Health Denton. As a PCT, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provides assistance to patients according to their plan of care.
  • Collects patient data and identifies and reports significant findings to the nurse.
  • Assists in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
  • Provides and revises patient activities of daily living based on patient and family preferences.
  • Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
  • Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
  • Documents accurately and appropriately.
  • Collaborates with the nurse to adapt care to reflect the patient population.
  • Keeps the patient environment clean and maintains a safe environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Current TX CNA or PCT training with NHA, NAHP, or NCCT, or an accredited community college program, or THR-approved program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training within 60 days of hire required
