About the Role

Arlington Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Football Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for leading our varsity football team to success while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among our student-athletes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to enhance player performance and team success
  • Recruit, train, and supervise assistant coaches to support the team's goals
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, rules, and regulations regarding athletics
  • Maintain accurate records of player eligibility, injuries, and other relevant information
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive team culture

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Valid Tennessee teaching certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a head coach or assistant coach in a high school setting
  • Ability to motivate and inspire players to achieve their best
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
