Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer and engineering feedback on MSA, CTQs, and acceptance activities.
  • Lead measurement system analysis activities, including Gage RnR, test method validations, and test procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality engineering standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering, operations, inspectors, and suppliers on project matters, material issues, and process quality issues.
  • Support and develop validation protocols and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Lead quality control and risk management plans, analyzing data and making acceptance decisions.
  • Use statistical tools to analyze data, improve process capability, and drive quality improvements.
  • Lead MRB reviews, recommending disposition and corrective actions.
  • Investigate complaints and trends, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in design reviews and pre-validation assessments to ensure safe and environmentally sound process start-ups.
  • Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests and products.
  • Execute internal and external supplier and customer audits.
  • Train inspectors and provide clear inspection instructions and standards of work.

Qualifications:
  • BS degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a regulated industry, preferably in quality and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality system tools, GD&T, and fixturing.
  • Demonstrated experience with formal problem-solving methodologies and deductive skills.
  • Six Sigma knowledge and/or practical statistics knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in PC programs, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and execute them in a timely manner.
  • American Society for Quality CQE certification is preferred but not required.
