Job Description

Overview

Powder Mountain is a year-round resort and real estate development project nestled throughout 10,000 acres in the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah. As a Prep Cook, you will be part of our culinary team, responsible for leading daily tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the prep kitchen team in daily tasks, including opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, and team cohesion.
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager for staffing and scheduling needs.
  • Develop and maintain a flow plan to maximize the use of the commissary kitchen for all outlets.
  • Plan and execute daily menus and offerings.
  • Adhere to early morning starts and potential late evenings.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of safe kitchen equipment usage, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.
  • Current Utah Food Handlers Permit (required).
  • 2 years of kitchen management experience.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40+ pounds.
  • Capacity to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8+ hours).
  • Continual use of manual dexterity for safe use of knives, slicers, mixers, pots, pans, and other sharp objects.
