Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Commercial Project Manager to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in roles such as Project Manager, Estimator, Superintendent, or Supervisor, or have relevant experience in the construction industry. The successful applicant will be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and precise completion of commercial projects of varying sizes.
  • Attend necessary job-site meetings and guarantee that installers are present and executing work to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure the correct materials are available on-site for installation.
  • Communicate any changes or requirements back to the sales team to facilitate accurate quotes for change orders.

Essential Duties:

  • Review blueprints to understand project materials and installation needs, performing field measurements as required.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and contractors to schedule material deliveries and inspect for quality and accuracy.
  • Oversee daily activities of flooring installers and subcontractors to align with project timelines, ensuring quality installations.
  • Work with purchasing, sales, and vendors to manage materials effectively.
  • Conduct moisture tests on substrates as necessary.
  • Inspect job sites prior to installation and address any issues with builders or customers.
  • Participate in weekly construction meetings as needed.
  • Perform final quality inspections of all installations and address any concerns with subcontractors or installers.
  • Complete necessary documentation for material returns or claims.

Qualifications:

  • Clean driving record and a vehicle suitable for job-site travel.
  • Commitment to job-site safety protocols.
  • Proficient computer skills; all documentation is digital, requiring familiarity with mobile devices and computers.
  • Ability to read floor plans, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Respond promptly to all internal and external communications.
  • Problem-solving skills to develop efficient and quality solutions on job sites.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
