POSITION SUMMARY:
The 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW) is a pioneering organization dedicated to human-centric warfare research and education. As part of the Air Force Research Laboratory, 711 HPW integrates various disciplines to enhance operational effectiveness through a skilled workforce.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The selected contractor will provide expert analytical support to the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), specifically within the Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division. This role involves collaborating with the Operational Support Team to facilitate program development, data analysis, and consultative support in the field. The contractor will play a critical role in utilizing evidence-based practices and developing real-time data analytics for health risk assessment at the squadron level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver expert statistical analysis on the impact of accession conditions on long-term Air Force outcomes, including performance and retention.
  • Conduct comprehensive statistical evaluations of existing datasets and create new datasets for analysis using SAS/EG.
  • Design and scope projects, monitor timelines, and produce detailed progress reports.
  • Develop stratification methods for data analysis based on relevant criteria.
  • Assist in creating robust statistical models to explore variable relationships within Air Force health outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary planning and analysis as a health statistics expert.
  • Ensure compliance with all data access protocols and utilize Air Force medical records systems effectively.
  • Provide technical support for various software applications and assist in the documentation of analytical processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or Operations Research with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Current training in Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
  • Proven expertise in statistical analysis and study design, particularly in healthcare or military settings.
  • Experience with SAS/SAS EG and advanced analytical methodologies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The contractor will be provided with necessary office resources and will be expected to comply with all operational policies and security protocols.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional travel may be required for meetings and conferences as directed by the Government.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
A minimum Tier 1 background check is mandatory for this position.
