Job Title: Quality Systems Director

At Bimbo QSR, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Systems Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring compliance with Company, customer, and government procedures.

This role requires a strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, procedures, and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for inspecting and auditing our operations, ensuring a safe and quality product, and overseeing our Food Safety (Sanitation) department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and administer BQ Global Quality, Food Safety, Sanitation & Regulatory Compliance standards and strategy.
  • Align and incorporate Global standards and strategy with regional specific initiatives and objectives.
  • Contribute to the BQ US-Quality Systems Leadership and Regional Leadership Teams.
  • Lead a Regional Quality Systems Leadership Team to ensure functional alignment with overall BQ strategy.
  • Establish a meaningful interface with customers, vendors, and trade organizations to enhance BQ's visibility and reputation in the industry.
  • Provide support as a Subject Matter Expert to other internal customers and functional groups as needed.
  • Ensure all sites within the Region are GFSI Certified and compliant with all BQ, Local, and Customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related field of science from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in the food production and/or baking industry, with a thorough understanding of Food Safety & Quality Management Standards (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22K) and associated requisite programs and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with different countries and cultures.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong ability to analyze and resolve complex problems using data and SPC.
