Job Summary
This role provides direct clinical patient care as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Same Day Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital - Memphis. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The Clinical Nurse Specialist is accountable to support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis
- Supervise staff to which appropriate care is delegated
- Support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care
- Ensure competency of clinical staff
- Manage resources related to patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as a Registered Nurse
- CPR certification
