Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Social Worker is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing direct assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention to our members and their families. With expertise in various treatment modalities, this role requires a deep understanding of psychopathology and the ability to recognize timely clinical interventions. The successful candidate will work with specific age groups, as determined by their training and certification, and will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our members.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Conduct timely and accurate assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for members.
  • Select and implement effective treatment modalities to address member needs.
  • Communicate clinical information effectively to members and clinical staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate expertise in various treatment methodologies and provide timely documentation of clinical encounters.
  • Stay up-to-date on KP and community resources to provide comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to all mandated guidelines for patient care and maintain licensure.
  • Conduct initial interviews with members, determining urgency and recommending a course of therapeutic action.
  • Provide treatment to adults, adolescents, and children, and render immediate guidance and therapy for members in crisis.
  • Maintain written records of therapy, prepare reports, and communicate with social agencies, schools, and relatives as needed.
  • Provide clinical consultation and telephone assessment, counseling, and resource information.
  • Identify and treat developmental stages and proficiently use various treatment modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Comply with organizational, departmental, state, and federal guidelines and participate in quality management and continuous quality improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Two years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience within the last five years.
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California).
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of current DSM nomenclature and ability to utilize it.
  • Consistently demonstrate knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to members, customers, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment:

This role requires two evenings per week (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm) and is based at the Euclid Medical Offices in Anaheim, California.
