Position Summary
We are seeking a Ground Segment/Software Control Account Manager (CAM) to oversee the ground segment operations for various space missions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, budgets, and technical performance of satellite subsystem deliverables for designated control accounts. Propel the execution of ground segment and software initiatives across multiple programs by coordinating with management, engineering teams, production, and clients to ensure timely and budget-compliant outcomes.
This role is classified internally as Project Engineer Level 4.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical leads to prioritize project scope
- Oversee daily team operations and upcoming project milestones
- Manage project scope, planning, proposals, cost assessments, timelines, and risk evaluations
- Provide inputs for Earned Value Management and conduct variance analysis
- Establish program baselines and monitor subsystem Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)
- Address challenges and risks, coordinating with engineering teams for conflict resolution
- Report on the status of subsystem deliverables to stakeholders
- Support internal planning, proposals, and strategic business initiatives
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field
- Expertise in cost, schedule, technical, and earned value management
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership experience in engineering development
- Excellent communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or Program Management
- Understanding of software development processes and lifecycle
- Knowledge of execution methodologies and adaptability based on program requirements
- Capability to balance multiple program demands in a constrained environment
- Experience in leading program execution
- Familiarity with satellite subsystems and components
- Experience with satellite mission control systems
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework and U.S. Government cybersecurity standards
