Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the talent acquisition strategy and execute full-cycle recruitment by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates for various positions.
- Establish a robust pipeline of top-tier talent.
- Work closely with hiring managers to gain insights into the specific roles that need to be filled.
- Create and maintain comprehensive job descriptions that are appealing and compliant with legal standards.
- Identify and implement the most effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Utilize diverse advertising methods for job postings, including online platforms, networking, and career fairs.
- Maintain professional communication with candidates, providing updates throughout the selection process.
- Conduct background checks and verify candidate references.
- Manage the candidate selection process and extend offers upon management approval.
- Ensure personnel files are maintained in accordance with legal requirements.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
- Administer payroll functions.
- Maintain open lines of communication with all employees.
- Act as a primary resource for candidates, employees, and management on various HR matters.
- Address employee relations issues effectively.
- Monitor and investigate HR-related concerns, including discrimination and compliance with labor laws.
- Communicate HR initiatives and updates to the workforce.
- Design and implement Performance Improvement Plans as necessary.
- Manage employee benefits programs.
- Evaluate and recommend adjustments to the compensation structure to ensure competitiveness.
- Support training and development efforts.
- Participate in career fairs and networking events.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor regulations.
- Handle additional HR-related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification(s) are advantageous.
- A minimum of three years of experience in HR generalist roles and full-cycle recruiting.
- Experience in payroll administration is required.
- Familiarity with recruiting for construction and skilled trades is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various recruitment techniques and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google G Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of handling sensitive information discreetly.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work overtime as needed.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in business matters.
