Medical Imaging Specialist

Avera Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Lead Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in the Imaging Services department, responsible for performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and assisting in the management of the ultrasound area.
About the RoleThis position requires a radiologic technologist background with specific certification in OB/GYN and abdominal modalities. You will work closely with the Imaging Services Manager to facilitate imaging services and develop immediate and future goals and objectives for the Ultrasound area.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered
- Facilitate imaging services and develop goals and objectives for the Ultrasound area
- Assist in the management of the ultrasound area
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
- ARDMS registration in OB/GYN and Abdominal modalities within six months of hire date
Avera Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- $31.75 - $48.00 per hour
- Flexible scheduling
- A supportive work environment focused on teamwork and patient care
The work schedule for this role is 7:00am-3:30pm, occasional weekends/holidays/call, with 80 hours worked every two weeks.
