North Star Behavioral Health is seeking a Per Diem Psych Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our treatment team, you will be responsible for delivering quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Collect and analyze data on physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning needs.
- Treatment Plan Development: Develop a comprehensive care outline, update master treatment plans, and collaborate with the treatment team to set goals and interventions.
- Effective Discharge Planning: Establish individualized discharge plans tailored to the needs of patients and significant others.
- Crisis Management: Follow correct protocols for crisis management and demonstrate skills in defusing potentially combative behaviors.
- Patient Safety and Reporting: Ensure prompt and correct adherence to orders of seclusions & restraints, conduct proper rounds and interval checks, and document them accurately.
- Current State of Alaska RN license
- Current CPR or BLS certification, preferred
