Job Summary:

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated patient care services in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department within the Acute Care Setting. The PCT works under the clinical direction of the registered nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with vital sign measurements, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Perform basic nursing skills, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing Program
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
