Per Diem Respiratory Therapist

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapist to assist with providing direct patient care outside of critical care areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist Respiratory Therapists with providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Clean and set up equipment, including low-flow oxygen and non-exotic aerosol therapy devices.
- Monitor and maintain patient vital signs, including pulse oximetry.
- Assist with cardiorespiratory arrests under direct supervision.
- Adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Active Respiratory Therapy student with completion of the first year and enrollment in the second year.
- CPR certification.
- Good standing to complete Associate's degree in Respiratory Care within nine months.
- Ability to interact with patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
