Job Summary

As a Customer Quality Assurance Specialist at Safran Aerosystems Evacuation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met for our customers. This position requires a strong understanding of quality principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor product performance in the field, analyzing data from warranty returns and technical inquiry analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Initiate quality alert feedback from customer concerns and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop containment activities.
  • Facilitate problem-solving teams using tools such as 8D's and Kaizen events to drive corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Ensure problem statements, root causes, and corrective actions are thoroughly documented and communicated to customers.
  • Update process/product documentation based on corrective actions, including CMM's, folding procedures, work instructions, and ATP's.
  • Report corrective actions to customers through established channels and evaluate monthly KPIs on customer quality performance.
  • Present customer problem statements, root causes, and corrective actions to upper management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide feedback to management on overall product performance in the field, identifying lessons learned for product design improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to compile information from customer web portals, internal databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem-solving skills using standard quality tools, including DOE, SPC, and probability.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools, including cause-and-effect diagrams, check sheets, control charts, histograms, Pareto charts, scatter diagrams, and AS9100.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish helpful.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional/international team environment.

Additional Information

  • Some travel required (approximately 5%).
