Position: Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse
Location: Bricktown, NJ
Contract Duration: 3 Months

Work Schedule:

Weekly Hours: 36
Daily Hours: 12
Weekly Days: 3
Shift Timing: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Weekend Duty: Every other Saturday/Sunday
Holiday Duty: 1 of 3 major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
No On-Call Duty
Float Requirement: Agency RNs will float primarily within the Med Surg/Tele departments

Position Summary:

The Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse is tasked with delivering patient-focused care in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. This role involves assessing patient conditions, collaborating with physicians, and executing comprehensive nursing care strategies. A robust background in Med Surg/Tele is essential, along with continuous patient evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and precise documentation to uphold the highest care standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and document nursing care tailored to the individual needs of patients in the Med Surg/Tele unit.
  • Evaluate patient requirements, prioritize care, and modify care plans based on ongoing assessments.
  • Conduct therapeutic nursing interventions and oversee overall patient management.
  • Document all care aspects in accordance with established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
  • Champion and support evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
  • Deliver patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing practice models.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of previous RN experience in a Med Surg/Tele unit within a major acute care hospital environment.
  • A strong foundation in Med Surg/Tele nursing is crucial.

Educational Background:

  • Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licenses:

Mandatory:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certified.
  • New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in English (speak, read, write).
