Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Auditor to join our team at West Central Minnesota Communities Action Inc. As a Housing Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting energy audits, inspecting homes, and providing education to clients on energy conservation and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct energy audits and inspections of homes to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide education to clients on energy conservation and safety
  • Analyze contractor bids and award contracts
  • Monitor and inspect contractor performance
  • Maintain all mandatory forms and documentation
  • Attend training sessions to maintain proficiency and certifications
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience in basic home construction and/or energy auditing/heat theory
  • Knowledge of current products, skills, and techniques used in housing technology
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, wells, and septic systems
  • Proof of valid driver's license and current/adequate vehicle insurance coverage
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Weatherization and Conservation Programs
  • Professional experience working for or collaborating with a CAP agency
  • Demonstrated understanding of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Quality Control Inspector Certification
  • Post-Secondary training in specialized courses related to Housing/Energy
