Position Overview:

As the Facilities Operations Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Facility Operations to oversee the daily management of the Center's facilities. This role requires effective organization of resources, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and promoting a productive work atmosphere. Leverage your organizational and interpersonal skills to address various facility requirements and enhance the overall functionality and efficiency of the Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Maintenance:
    • Coordinate routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
    • Supervise maintenance and inspections of facilities.
  • Space Management:
    • Maximize space utilization within the facilities.
    • Organize office layouts and relocations.
    • Maintain precise space allocation records.
  • Security and Safety:
    • Implement security measures.
    • Conduct safety evaluations and address potential hazards.
    • Participate in the Safety Committee.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Engage with external vendors and assess service providers.
    • Ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist in facility-related projects and budget oversight.
    • Address inquiries from staff and tenants.
  • Communication:
    • Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Coordinate meetings with the Senior Director of Facility Operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PC/Windows environments and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.

  • Compensation: The pay range is $26.00 per hour based on experience.
