We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at Core Sound Imaging, Inc. in creating innovative software solutions for healthcare technology.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that improve patient outcomes and empower healthcare professionals worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- DICOM Data Management: Design and maintain secure systems for storage, retrieval, and routing of DICOM data.
- API Development: Create and integrate APIs for seamless data exchange using HL7, SFTP, and custom protocols.
- Automation: Implement automated DICOM routing, error handling, and data flows using scripting languages like Lua.
- Advanced Imaging Features: Develop tools such as synchronized multi-image displays, cine loop playback, and real-time annotations.
- Security & Compliance: Apply SSL/TLS and AES encryption to secure data while ensuring HIPAA and healthcare privacy compliance.
- Custom Reporting: Configure interactive worksheets with tools for measurements, protocol-based logic, and reporting fields.
- Unit Testing: Validate individual software components for functionality.
- Integration Testing: Ensure smooth interactions between system components.
- Performance Testing: Optimize for scalability, speed, and reliability.
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Use frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow to validate software behavior.
- Write Comprehensive Documentation: Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Design innovative solutions and meet project milestones.
- Bachelor's Degree: In computer and information technology or a related field, such as engineering or mathematics.
- Required Skills:
- Proficiency in PHP 8, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5/ES6), with familiarity in C++, Java, and shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), clean/secure coding principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with encryption standards (SSL/TLS, AES) and secure data handling.
- Expertise in cross-platform and cross-browser development.
- Self-starter with positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Able to handle stress, including short deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CI/CD & Automation: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI for deployment and testing.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for scalable infrastructure.
- Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized services.
- AI & Machine Learning: Exposure to AI/ML integration using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
